Budget Airlines within Southeast Asia

When travelling in Southeast Asia, many travellers often face the hard decision of choosing between taking a low cost or budget airline and a full service airline. While budget airlines sacrifice some benefits such as complimentary meals and in-flight entertainment, many travellers continue to travel using budget airlines due to their attractive prices and frequent flights.

But another question arises - which budget airline is the most suitable? There are websites such as Cheapflights.com and Skyscanner.com which compare prices for flights, however, the traveller has more to think about other than cost.
